Traditional costume run

Dirndls, kilts or kimonos: the field of participants at the Munich traditional costume run keeps getting more and more international each year.

Four days after Oktoberfest here in Munich ends, the competitive nature of the various state national costumes are put to the test. The Munich traditional costume run accompanies the 32th MUNICH MARATHON and covers a three-kilometer route.

The traditional costume run is the ideal opportunity to jog very easy with the folklore society, family, friends or colleagues through the Olympic Park – and in so doing to present your own traditional costume to the public. After the run the participants will be greeted with a Bavarian breakfast of Bavarian veal sausage, Kornspitz (bread roll) and wheat beer.
